Games Fad or Finally Here?

A friend of the Games and Sims Network recently posted on his blog, "Why Are We Biased Against Games for Learning?"

Doug Levin isn't citing a conversation he had in a coffee shop or something he saw on twitter but a report from the Center of Media and Human Development at Northwestern University that was used last month in a Capitol Hill briefing.

The report states that "Parents assess video games more negatively than television, computers and mobile devices."

We have a network of almost 2000 educators, what have you seen and what have you heard when bringing any form of games and gamification in your classroom?

The national survey was conducted included 2,326 parents of children eight years old or younger. The survey was done in November 2012 to December 2012, does that make any difference?
